Scottsdale Cultural Council Overview

The Scottsdale Cultural Council presents art. We do this by making the arts an integral part of the Scottsdale experience, by offering opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the highest quality the world has to offer in performing and visual arts, and by identifying emerging artistic talent and providing a place for its expression.

While it may be convenient to think of us as just a theater or a museum, our mission extends far beyond the walls of any single building or specific event. Thanks to our enthusiastic community, and with the support of the City of Scottsdale and our many members, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and friends, we daily embrace the challenges of immersing our whole community in the arts. We present opportunities to both renew our understandings of traditional arts and to invent fresh meanings of unconventional arts.

OUR MISSION:
To serve Scottsdale residents, visitors, cultural institutions, and artists by creating and advancing high quality arts and cultural experiences and opportunities.

OUR VISION:
Excellence and innovation in the arts - for everyone.

The Scottsdale Cultural Council, a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is contracted by the City of Scottsdale, Arizona, to administer certain City arts and cultural projects and to manage the City-owned Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Scottsdale Public Art Program. The programs of the Scottsdale Cultural Council are made possible, in part, by the support of members and donors and grants received from the Arizona Commission on the Arts through appropriations from the Arizona State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Supported by the Arizona Commision on the Arts with funding from the
State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts.
